I suppose I have a natural tendency to feature horror-themed works here. I do believe, though, that in that particular genre there is lots of creativity and variation. Today's artist is Alex-Cooper.
This is what I write in the collection folder:
"Alex-Cooper's works are a combination of terrifying and awesome. The works pop out with vivid, powerful colours which contrast with the horrific themes they contain, which makes looking at them a very interesting, gross, entertaining and shocking experience, all at once."

Moving Away From Deviant Art
So I haven't been uploading much lately. The whole AI thing Deviant Art did kind of put me off of this place. I'm still following my favorite artists here, you all are amazing and I can't get enough of your work. Myself, though, I'm moving the uploading of new things to Mastodon. You can find me here: https://libretooth.gr/@zorbama. It's been real, DA. Goodbye.
Artist Feature - DiegoTripodi
I've been wanting to do this one for a while! This week's feature is I think one of the best comic artists on DA.
Here's what I write in the collection folder:
The thing that stands out in DiegoTripodi (https://www.deviantart.com/diegotripodi)'s art is how despite the similarities, there are immense differences between one work and the other. I believe this is due to an incredibly thoughtful process of decision-making; the choices of colours, roughness/smoothness of lines, techniques and materials give soul and life to each individual piece, making his galleries one of the most varied and vibrant on DA (even if it is full of dark and foreboding imagery and symbolism).

Artist Feature - darkdex52
This time, for the first time, a photographer!
Here's what I wrote in the collection folder:
Colour, composition, lighting, forms and objects - all these elements come into play in the photos of darkdex52 (https://www.deviantart.com/darkdex52). By taking upon the ordinary and seeking a unique new take on it, the photos make it extraordinary. This new perspective on the world is what makes darkdex52 (https://www.deviantart.com/darkdex52)'s gallery into one of interest and appeal.

Artist Feature - Teagle
I've been waiting to do this one, and now it's time! :D
This is what I write in the collection folder:
Teagle (https://www.deviantart.com/teagle)'s colourful illustrations, often depicting famous cartoons, can have dark or profoundly strange themes that accompany those familiar faces. This creates an unsettling feeling, as what we come to expect to see from those characters is broken and transformed.
Teagle also has illustrations for original works, which are humorous, surreal and dark all at the same time. Both kinds of illustrations and comics ensure an interesting experience when visiting his gallery.
